Seeing potential is a special talent – especially when that potential is wrapped in the too thin, bleached out form of a kill pen horse.
Charlie came from an auction kill pen in Waco, Texas. Offered reprieve by Mary Ellen, his first task was simply to gain some much needed. He started dressage training as his health improved. As the excellent care and appropriate feed took effect, one lovely animal emerged.
Just before I left Texas, Mary Ellen asked if we could squeeze in a portrait session. Charlie was quite cooperative for his first photo shoot, including graciously accepting the flowers hand picked by Mary Ellen’s grandchildren. Thank you, Mary Ellen, for trusting me with this session!
